Types and Tips for Brazilian Wax

BRAZILIAN WAXING

Brazilian waxing is a popular hair removal style that has gained popularity due to its cleanliness, comfort, cost, and lasting results. People are now opting for Brazilian waxing services for their hair removal needs because it yields better results than shaving or other hair removal remedies.

There are various types of Brazilian waxes to help you with your hair removal requirements. Depending on the level of hair growth and thickness, you can choose from a few different types of waxes.

Here’s a look at a few Brazilian Waxes and tips to getting them done!

TYPES OF WAXING/TYPES OF BRAZILIAN WAX

Brazilian Wax

Add to your beauty regimen with this brazilian wax, also known as the extended bikini wax or the X Brazilian Wax. This intimate waxing treatment starts with a trim to get things neat up top and prepare for the rest of the service. The rest involves two fingers from the bikini line down being waxed.

French Wax

The French wax is also known as the XX Brazilian Wax or g-string wax. This treatment removes all hair in this sensitive region using either hard and soft wax depending on the area.

This is done by first trimming long hair back to a more manageable length before applying the warm wax. The wax makes use of different temperature ranges for specific areas of the lower bikini line and bottom, before application of the hot wax. The wax will be applied in a long rectangular shape, leaving hair in place in the labia.

Traditional Brazilian

The Traditional Brazilian wax (also known as the XXX Brazilian) is a full Brazilian wax service that removes all the hair, leaving only a small and thin strip of hair (or triangle, or any shape the client chooses) above the top of the bikini line. With a Traditional Brazilian, the bush does go! This is perfect for those with minimal hair and wants a smooth finish with no stubble.

The Hollywood Wax

Say goodbye to stubble, ingrown hairs, razor bumps, and other bikini line woes with the Hollywood Wax (also known as the XXXX wax). Say hello to a soft, smooth, and hairless bikini line with SOSWax Brazilian waxing. The Hollywood wax is also often referred to as ‘all off ‘ as it is a full bikini wax with a bald effect that gets rid of all the body hair from the top to bottom.

Brazilian Wax Tips: What to Know Before, After, and During Your Appointment

You’ve been thinking about getting a wax for a while now, but you’re aren’t sure what you should do before, during, and after your appointment.

Before The Appointment

During your Brazilian wax appointment, relax, ask questions and take your time.

Be careful to exfoliate your skin the day before your appointment. This makes your follicles softer and less likely to tangle during waxing.

Don’t shave the month before your Brazilian Waxing. The hair should be longer than 1/8 inch.

Do not wear any tight-fitting clothing in the area to be waxed.

It is crucial to make sure that the waxing salon offers both hard wax and soft wax. Soft wax is soft and pliable, which is why it is perfect for sensitive areas. Hard wax is harder and is used for areas like the legs, arms, and back.

You also want to make sure that the salon is using sanitized and disposable supplies.

During the Appointment

The pain of this procedure varies with the individual, but most people describe the discomfort as nothing more than a mild pinch. Waxing not only removes unwanted hair from the root but also leaves the skin feeling smoother and less irritated than before.

The aesthetician dips a cloth strip into hot, sticky wax and applies it against your skin in the direction of hair growth with smooth, quick strokes. The wax adheres to the hair as it cools. Once the wax hardens, It’s quickly ripped off along with any unwanted hairs.

The esthetician then massages a soothing gel onto your freshly waxed skin.

The entire process should take about 15 minutes.

Aftercare tips

After the wax is removed, the skin should stay red for 24 to 48 hours. While Brazilian waxing may offer minor discomfort than shaving, the redness may seem unbearable. After 24 to 48 hours, the skin should be pink, smooth, and healthy.
